This beautiful emerald green blouse is yet another charity shop find. It was $4. No complaints there 🙂 I’ve paired it with my black faux leather skirt that I bought for $20 from Forever 21.
Faux leather has come a long way in recent years. Gone are the days when fake leather looked like plastic. You can find some really great imitation leather products on the market these days. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between the real version and the fake one! (That’s when I do some subtle sniffing. Leather has a very distinctive smell.)
Although the green top is quite bright and the leatherette skirt’s a little different to a basic black skirt, this outfit is still quite simple, so I’ve added my snow leopard heels for a bit of oomph. Plain black shoes would work perfectly if you don’t want to go for too many prints and textures. The choice is yours 🙂
