Logo and slogan tees are a great way to add some character to your outfit, no doubt about it.
This c’est la vie t-shirt was $9 from K-mart and, let me tell you, I have worn it a lot! Because the slogan is simple and sophisticated, it goes with pretty much everything. I have previously paired it with a checked skirt, leopard print skirt, denim jeans and blue drape pants. Each look has worked because the t-shirt is only two colours. This is something to keep in mind when choosing a tee that you want to get a lot of wear out of. If it’s too busy with prints and colours, it may clash with most items in your wardrobe and you don’t want that, right? Getting a lot of wear out of your clothing is the key to being a savvy shopper!
It’s also important to keep in mind the slogan on your t-shirt. How do you want people to perceive you? Some slogan t-shirts have rude or suggestive sayings on them, whilst others may be offensive to certain groups of people. I certainly don’t want to offend anyone in any way, and I always want to leave a good impression, so I will never wear a printed t-shirt that may be disrespectful.
For today’s outfit, I’ve worn my favourite pinstripe blazer with denim cutoffs and heels because I love mixing different looks together. The shorts are casual whilst the blazer and heels are quite dressy. It creates an outfit that’s fun, yet chic. Try mixing your casual wear with some dressier pieces. You might be surprised at the funky outfits you come up with!
