Have you been brave with your dressing lately?

Today’s look is quite vibrant. I’ve never worn fuchsia pants before but when I saw these ones in Valleygirl for $14.95, I snapped them up. I’m glad I did! I’m surprised by how much they go with. Of course there’s the obvious black and white, but they also work really well with most tones of blue, mint green and yellow. Printed and patterned shirts look pretty good too 🙂

When choosing clothes to purchase, it’s a good idea to consider your ironing habits. Are you someone who is happy to iron your clothes, either in advance or as you need items, or do you absolutely despise ironing and would rather have your teeth pulled than press a pair of pants? If you’re the latter, make sure you select clothing that doesn’t need any ironing at all. If something is already creased on the store rack, there’s a good chance it will need ironing after every wash. If it’s not creased on the rack, scrunch a part of the fabric to determine if it will need to be ironed. If no creases form, then this is the product for you! 🙂

Once upon a time I was happy to iron my clothes every time I left the house. These days, I usually only iron for work (as I mention in my ‘Tips and Tricks’ page, I will iron the clothes that I need for the week in advance) and special occasions. This means that a lot of my everyday clothes that require ironing remain inside my wardrobe, never to see the light of day! This isn’t ideal, of course, so I now try to look for clothes that don’t crease easily.

Think about what’s best for you and pay attention when shopping. You don’t want to end up with a bunch of clothes that you never wear. That is certainly not the idea of budget savvy shopping 🙂

  1. Kylie,

The pants are stunning and so are you! I have to ask did you get them long ago and if you would know the name of them? I’ve been looking for pink pants for a long time. I love them in you! 😚

    1. Hi Maja,

Thank you for your message and lovely compliments 🙂 I really appreciate it. I’m not sure where you’re from but I bought the pants from Valleygirl in Australia. I bought them around two months ago, maybe a little longer, so I don’t know if they would still be available. If not, I saw a cute pair that are similar online through ASOS. They have a cuff at the bottom and a tie belt, so they’re not exactly the same but it might be worth a look. I hope you find some pink pants soon. They’re definitely a fun look! Have a lovely night x
