What were your New Year’s resolutions? Do you want to exercise more?
I can totally understand that it can be hard to stick to an exercise routine when life gets busy. Work, household chores, social events, the list goes on. What you need to do is make exercising a priority. If you need to get up an hour earlier to fit in a run, then that’s what you do. I used to start work at 7am, so I would get up at 4.30am in order to go for a run and still have time for a leisurely breakfast when I got home. Some people may think that’s a little crazy but it worked for me and I was happy. You don’t need to be that extreme but I’m sure you get the idea 🙂
No excuses. That’s my motto. I actually don’t give myself the opportunity to make any excuses. I am exercising today and that’s it. Don’t get me wrong, I have days off when I choose not to do anything but it’s a decision I’ve usually made the day before and not based on whether I’m too busy, too tired or simply couldn’t be bothered.
So that’s it- make exercising a priority and NO EXCUSES! It won’t be easy at the start but it will soon become a habit. Once it’s a habit, you’ll be set. It won’t be such a struggle and then one day, maybe, you’ll find it’s actually quite nice 🙂
So this is a fashion blog, of course, so let me tell you about this outfit-
The leggings are a brand I only recently discovered called Rockwear. Not only is the print on these pants very cool, the fabric is fantastically supportive. It holds you in and doesn’t ride up or drop down like so many other leggings can. It’s so frustrating when you’re exercising and you have to adjust your clothes. Sometimes its hard enough getting through the session, let alone dealing with your clothes!
The singlet is a cheap one from Kmart. $8, in fact. I get a lot of my active wear from there. Whilst I do have some fitted gym tops, I prefer a loose style. They’re usually cooler and never need adjusting.
The shoes are Reebok. I’m not overly fussy about my runners. I don’t favour a particular brand or style. If I like the look of them, I’ll usually just pick them up to make sure they’re lightweight and then I’ll try them on to make sure they’re comfortable. Everyone is different though and some people need specially fitted shoes. If you plan on doing a lot of running or other high impact activities, make sure your shoes are right for you. This is of absolute importance.
Lastly, if you’re going outdoors, don’t forget your hat! (and sunscreen)
Have a fabulous day, Kylie
