Do you know what I love about flouncy sleeve blouses? That you can wear simple bottoms and shoes and still have an interesting outfit. Not that I’ve done that in this case. I’ve gone all out with bright red stilettos and checked shorts but, as you know, I don’t mind a bit of colour 🙂
Big, detailed sleeves are all the rage at the moment and I can’t see the trend slowing down for a while. I’m super happy about that because I think statement sleeves are really cool. I do, however, find them a real pain to iron. As I mentioned in previous posts, I don’t like to do too much ironing these days but with big sleeves, it’s usually a given.
You also have to be careful if you buy a top with long, billowy sleeves, as eating can become a little difficult. Big sleeves have a tendency to drape straight into your gravy, so you may well end up with food all over your top. Hey, I guess that’s just the price we pay to be up-to-date with the latest fashion, right? Bring on more statement sleeves, I say!!!
