I never imagined I’d own a tulle skirt as an adult. I didn’t even own one as a child. No tutus for this tomboy!
When I first saw this skirt in my favourite clothing store, it wasn’t something I considered. It didn’t even cross my mind to try it on. When it was reduced to half its original price, making it $25, it still didn’t register as something I might want in my wardrobe. One day, out of retail therapy desperation, I grabbed the skirt, along with a whole bunch of other things, and headed to the change rooms with the hope of finding something to cheer myself up. (Not great, I know!) I tried item after item and nothing screamed “Get me!” until……..well, obviously this skirt 🙂 I LOVED it!!! It felt fabulous and sophisticated and glamorous and girly and everything else that makes me eager to buy something.
The moral of the story here is that you never know what might make you feel wonderful. It’s nice to break out of your comfort zone now and again. I don’t just mean fashion related. This is true with anything and everything in life. Not only will you feel brave, (a big plus!) you might also stumble across something special that makes your heart sing.
Have a great weekend, Kylie xxx
